Fiona

Fiona is a sweet and energetic pup who found herself in a difficult situation at a shelter. Luckily, her foster family saw her adorable photo on Facebook and knew they had to help. Fiona was struggling in the shelter environment, and her foster family stepped in to give her a chance at a brighter future. It was after she settled into her foster home that her health issues came to light, including a collapsed trachea, a hip issue, and severe skin/food allergies. Despite these challenges, Fiona is a resilient pup who is making the most of her sunny days and cozy nights. She loves to play with her toys and enjoys the simple pleasures of life.

Ideal Home

Fiona would be happiest as an only dog, as she can get overly excited and might be too much for small children or seniors. Due to her hip and trachea issues, she cannot go on long hikes or strenuous walks, but she still needs ways to burn off her energy safely.

Ongoing Health

Fiona has a collapsed trachea, a hip issue, and severe skin/food allergies. She is allergic to most things except rabbit, potatoes, and mosquitoes. She requires a special diet and daily Apoquel medication to manage her allergies. Future expenses related to her hip and trachea issues may arise.

Training & Support

Fiona is a happy and energetic dog who can be a bit of a "bull in a china shop" when excited. Her new family should be mindful of her health conditions and find safe ways for her to expend energy without causing further damage.
