Button Mushroom Best Boy

Button is approximately 9 months old and is looking for a loving home to be your tiny shadow with floppy ears! He's a professional snuggler, gentle kiss distributor, squeaky toy enthusiast, and an incredibly affectionate companion who is convinced every person was made to love him. Button is the definition of sweet, wrapped in an adorable puppy package. While we suspect he might be a Pit Bull/Pointer mix, his exact breed is a charming mystery. His ears are a standout feature – one spotted, one solid, and impossibly floppy, they add to his undeniable cuteness.

Ideal Home

Button is a gentle observer who enjoys playing with friendly and easygoing dogs. He would do best with canine friends who are kind and not overly pushy, as he can be a bit submissive. He interacted sweetly with children and would likely thrive in a home with a confident and reassuring family that can help him continue building his confidence. He can likely do well in a variety of homes, including apartments, as long as he receives continued socialization, structure, playtime, and love.

Training & Support

Button approaches new situations with calm acceptance and recovers quickly from anything mildly worrying. When unsure, he tends to "pancake" or freeze briefly rather than react aggressively, and he is consistently easy to redirect and reassure. He showed excellent tolerance during handling and allowed touching of his paws, ears, face, and body without concern. He never barked during his time with us, despite many stimuli. He enjoys squeaky toys and is content with affection and carrying stuffed toys.

• The adoption fee is $1000 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship).

Transporation

Button is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
