Meet Blu!
This vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix from Los Angeles, CA, is a bundle of energy with a heart as big as her personality. Blu followed a kind soul home from the grocery store and has been showered with loving care ever since. She's spayed, vaccinated, and has lived harmoniously with senior dogs and confident cats, showing gentle patience and a strong desire to belong. Now, she's ready for a home where she can truly stretch her legs, establish a routine, and find companionship.
Weighing in at 65 pounds, Blu is a substantial pup with an even larger spirit! She's affectionate, remarkably intelligent, and eager to please. Her favorite activities include playing fetch with her favorite soft frisbee, engaging in epic tug-of-war battles, enjoying yak cheese chews, and zooming around the yard with joyful abandon. She also loves enrichment activities like supervised toy shredding. Blu has a creative outlet for her natural chewing instincts, happily tearing apart soft toys and cardboard strips, and has not chewed on anything inappropriate in months.
Blu is a well-trained girl, knowing commands such as sit, wait, down, up, leave it, come, and more! She thrives with structure and training, especially when rewarded with treats and praise. While she's making great progress with positive reinforcement for her sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps, she still needs a patient and understanding human.
Ideal Home
Blu is an energetic young dog who can become excitable, sometimes leading to jumping and "cobbing." While her caregivers have worked extensively on these behaviors, continued guidance will be beneficial. She can also become destructive when under-stimulated, so regular mental and physical enrichment is crucial. A fenced yard would be a huge plus for Blu, as would an active family ready to include her in their daily lives.

Blu is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She has no other known health conditions.
Training & Support
Blu excels with positive reinforcement and loves learning. Continue to work on her sensitivities to cars and men in baseball caps. To prevent destructive behavior, ensure she gets at least three walks a day, plenty of playtime, and engaging enrichment activities.
