Meet Daisy Jane!
Daisy Jane is a 6-year-old, 42-pound Husky with a calm, friendly nature and a sweet personality. She is food motivated and enjoys simple interactions once she feels comfortable, though she can be vocal like many Huskies. She is looking for a patient adopter who can help her build confidence in a structured environment.
Ideal Home
Daisy Jane requires a secure, fenced yard and an adult-only home. She may do best with a calm, well-socialized canine companion.
Ongoing Health
Daisy Jane is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will require ongoing care, including return trips to the clinic. A heartworm waiver is required upon adoption, and adopters must be committed to her continued medical care.
Training & Support
Daisy Jane is still learning leash walking and harness use and will need time, patience, and gentle encouragement. She is sensitive to leash pressure and may become overwhelmed, sometimes attempting to pull away or mouth at the leash. She will need an experienced adopter committed to slow desensitization, calm handling, and safety awareness. She requires elevated safety awareness and structured management due to flight risk and handling sensitivity. Many NMDR dogs have had limited prior socialization and may need time, patience, and support as they adjust to home life. Skills such as house training, leash walking, and handling may require continued practice. Progress will vary by individual dog.
