At just 1.5 years old and around 52 pounds, this sweet Hound mix has already overcome so much, yet she greets the world with a soft spirit, kind eyes, and so much love to give. She currently lives with four other dogs of all sizes and fits in beautifully. Joanie has wonderful house manners, is fully potty trained and crate trained, and truly enjoys the comfort and routine of home life. She’s the kind of dog who will happily curl up nearby after a long day, just content to be close to her people. Because she spent the first few months of her life outdoors in a busy, chaotic environment, Joanie sometimes takes a little extra time to feel secure. But underneath that cautious beginning is a deeply affectionate dog who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Ideal Home
Joanie gets along well with dogs, cats, and older children. New experiences can make her a little shy at first—especially around unfamiliar men—but once she feels safe, her loving and loyal personality shines through. Joanie doesn’t need perfection—just patience, kindness, and a family willing to let her bloom at her own pace.
Ongoing Health
Joanie is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She also completed heartworm treatment like a champ and has recovered beautifully. Now healthy and thriving, she’s ready for the happy life she’s always deserved.
Training & Support
Joanie has wonderful house manners, is fully potty trained and crate trained. Watching Joanie learn to trust and open up is incredibly special. In return for patience and kindness, she’ll give you quiet companionship, unwavering loyalty, and the kind of love that feels truly earned.

Joanie is currently being fostered in Texas and is available for transport to approved adopters in the Midwest, Northeast, and Canada.
