Meet Moxie!
Moxie is a spirited almost nine-year-old Korean Jindo with a quiet strength and a beautiful golden tan coat. At 36 pounds, she's a medium-sized girl with a gentle soul and a deep love for routine and calm surroundings. Her favorite thing in the world is head scratches, and she'll happily sit beside you, nudging your hand for more.
Playtime is an event for Moxie! She enjoys a good game of tug and expertly disarms squeaky toys. She also loves the outdoors, especially on long walks or when she can watch backyard critters. Moxie is fully house-trained, does well when left alone for short periods, and knows commands like "sit," "down," and "find it."
Ideal Home
Moxie needs a confident, experienced pet parent who understands her boundaries, particularly around food and high-value toys. She has a history of resource guarding and has bitten when boundaries were not respected. She does best in a structured environment where she can feel safe and understood. Moxie is not compatible with other pets and would do best as the only animal in the home. She enjoys affection from older children and teenagers but is not suited for homes with young children due to her need for predictability and space. Thunderstorms can unsettle her, but a calm, reassuring presence helps her.
