Maddie

Maddie is a sweet, affectionate, and loving 3.5-year-old, 58 lb Retriever/Shepherd mix who is ready to leave her past behind and find her forever family. She was a resilient momma who survived emergency surgery to save herself and some of her pups. Now that her pups have found their forever homes, Maddie is eager to find her own. She enjoys gentle belly rubs, having her coat brushed, and ear scratches. Maddie is a couch potato who would be happy to nap the day away and is fine with adopters who are away during the day. She adjusts easily to change, as shown by a successful sleepover with another foster family.

Ideal Home

Maddie would love a home where she can relax and be pampered. She would do best as the only dog in the home, though she has done well with other dogs when outside the home. She has met older children and done well with them.

Ongoing Health

Maddie has had emergency surgery in the past, but has recovered well.

Training & Support

Maddie arrived practically house-trained and loves walks. She would likely enjoy hikes, especially in cooler climates.

Transporation

Maddie is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to her new home. We deliver to multiple states on the East and West Coast, including Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia, with placement in adoptive families' homes.
