Meet Ember! This adorable little fluff ball is a 12-week-old, 3 lb. female Pomeranian mix who is ready to steal your heart. Ember is a healthy and happy puppy who is learning new things every day. She's already mastered navigating puppy stairs and heading out to the backyard for playtime and potty training. She absolutely loves teething toys, soft toys, and, like most puppies, has a fondness for human shoes when left unattended!
Ideal Home
Ember would thrive in a home with another small, similarly sized dog to play with. She would also be happy as the sole canine companion, as long as you have plenty of time to dedicate to her. Due to her small size and quick movements, she can easily get underfoot unnoticed, so an agile, active, and very alert family is essential. If there are children in the home, they should be 12 years or older and respectful of her delicate size. Ember also enjoys chewing, so you'll need a watchful eye and age-appropriate chew toys. Puppy-proofing your home is a must for her safety! A family that works from home or is only away for a few hours a day will be given preference.
Ongoing Health
Ember is current on her age-appropriate vaccines and is microchipped. She has also started heartworm prevention. She is currently too small to start flea prevention, which she can begin once she reaches 4 lbs.
Training & Support
Puppies require a lot of time, patience, and consistency, especially with potty training. Ember is working on pee pad training, but her tiny bladder means she can't hold it for extended periods. She will need continued patience and guidance as she masters potty training. Be prepared for her to pick up anything and everything she finds, so supervise her closely during outdoor play to prevent her from ingesting rocks, twigs, or other unsafe items.
