Baxter is a handsome, affectionate Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix weighing 80 pounds. This sweet, low-shedding boy loves people, cuddles, fetch, outdoor adventures, and relaxing with his family after an exciting day. Rescued after being abandoned, Baxter is now thriving in foster care and ready for a loving forever home.

Ideal Home

Baxter gets along well with other dogs, especially female dogs. He is curious about cats and chickens, so a home without them would be best. He currently lives with children ages 3 and 5, but because he is large and does not always realize his size, older children may be a better fit. He would enjoy a family that likes outdoor activities and relaxing evenings together.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. He receives Credelio for flea and tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention. He will receive a full veterinary checkup and health certificate before traveling.

Training & Support

Baxter is crate trained and house trained, and he is learning to walk on a leash. He is not destructive and has not been a habitual chewer. He enjoys squeaky toys, fetch, baths, and drinking from the garden hose. His wiry coat is adorable and very low shedding.
