Meet Rio! He's a playful pup who is learning the ropes of good manners, especially when it comes to his favorite treats and toys. Rio is a super fast learner and motivated by food, making training sessions a breeze. He already knows his name, sit, come, down, and "rest" for cooperative care, plus he's great at a hand target. Rio enjoys playing fetch and tug-of-war, and he's working on sharing his toys. He's crate trained and enjoys car rides, though he's still learning to be comfortable with restraints. Bath time and nail trims are no problem for this handsome fellow.

Ideal Home

Rio would do best in a home with a sturdy, chill dog of his size or larger who is not easily annoyed and can help guide him. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Rio is up-to-date on vaccinations and neutered.

Training & Support

Rio is a fast learner and loves to train for treats. He is working on his dog-on-dog social skills and learning not to be mouthy during play. He can get the zoomies when excited and needs approved chew toys. His foster mom, who is a professional trainer, is willing to provide guidance and tips for continued success.
