Hi there! I'm Cane, a 36.2lb Carolina Dog Mix with an estimated birthday of June 8, 2025. If you're looking for a spirited and loving adventure companion, I might just be the one for you! My foster family says I'm always sporting a smile, eager to play, and excited to meet new friends. With my big, expressive ears and even bigger personality, I'm ready to bring joy and excitement to my forever home.
My story began with a bit of a scare. I found myself on the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter, but thankfully, the wonderful people at Sunnyside Street Dogs stepped in and gave me a second chance at life. Now, I'm safe, cherished, and patiently waiting for my very own family. I promise to fill your life with laughter, endless adventures, and plenty of tail wags!
Ideal Home
I absolutely adore people and other dogs, so a home that enjoys playtime, exploration, and walks would be perfect! I have a lot of energy and curiosity, so I'd love a family that shares my enthusiasm for adventure. While I love being part of the action, I'm also happy to cuddle and make everyone smile.
Ongoing Health
I'm fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Training & Support
I'm already kennel and potty trained! I'm a well-behaved girl who is eager to please and ready to learn.

Transportation
I'm currently located in Houston, TX. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360 and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. You must be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
