Hope Loves all the Treats

Hope is a sweet, laid-back girl who absolutely adores treats and gentle pets! She's around six years old and is believed to be an American Pitbull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier mix, weighing about 51 pounds. Hope enjoys her quiet time and is happiest when she's near her people, soaking up affection at her own pace. She walks nicely on a leash and would be content with a few strolls followed by plenty of nap time. While she enjoys toys, she's more of a relaxed companion than a rowdy one. She's people-friendly but appreciates a moment to warm up before showing her incredibly sweet and affectionate side.

Ideal Home

Hope would do well as an only dog, or she could live with a calm, respectful dog who understands personal space. She is quiet and low-key, making her a great candidate for an apartment, provided she gets regular walks and enrichment. She was tested with a cat and showed no reaction, but further testing in a home environment would be advisable. We believe she would be best with older children who understand and respect a dog's boundaries and personal space.

Hope is healthy and has no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Hope is a treat-motivated learner and will gladly show off her manners for a snack! She is already potty trained and walks well on a leash.

Transportation

Hope is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transportation drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
