"Gumbo" Gunner

Just like in the bayou, a good gumbo gets better with time, and that's certainly true for our sweet senior boy, Gunner! This 12-year-old Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog has the classic speckled coat the breed is known for and a pair of ghost blue eyes that light right up when you grab a toy. Gunner is a gentle old soul who enjoys friendly dogs and absolutely soaks up all the love and attention he gets from the staff and volunteers. These days, he is looking for a calm, comfortable home where he can go out for a leisurely stroll, then rest his paws, enjoy some companionship, and take life at an easy pace. If you are looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and a laid-back spirit, Gumbo Gunner might just be the perfect addition to your family.

Ideal Home

Gunner would do best in a home without cats or small children. Older visiting kids are just fine as long as they understand that sometimes an old bayou dog just needs a little peace and quiet.

Gunner is a senior gentleman. He has been neutered and vaccinated.
