Meet Lucy D! This sweet girl is a 5-year-old, 100-pound mixed breed with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. She recently had a daycation and proved to be a total star! Lucy is energetic, happy, and affectionate, thriving on attention from everyone she meets, including children. She'll happily lean in for pets, roll over for belly rubs, and shower you with kisses. Even with her size and excitement, she settled beautifully throughout the day and remained calm even in a public setting. Lucy is a social butterfly with other dogs too, getting along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and enjoying playtime. She's house-trained, crate-trained, a great car rider, takes treats gently, and is a quiet companion. While she can be strong on leash when excited, she settles nicely once she's comfortable. Lucy came to us through the Dogs Matter program after her owner made the difficult but selfless decision to surrender her to focus on their recovery. Unfortunately, her foster situation changed, and she is currently in boarding, urgently needing a foster home. Lucy is ready to give her whole heart to someone willing to give her a chance.
