Jesse Bear is a handsome Shepherd/Husky mix, estimated to be around 1 year old and weighing 52 lbs. He truly is like a living, breathing teddy bear, with a sweet, gentle demeanor and a constant happy smile. Jesse Bear loves to be included in everything his people do, whether it's hanging out in the yard, following you around the house, or snuggling up for attention. He has a comforting presence and easily becomes everyone's favorite.
Ideal Home
Jesse Bear would thrive in a home with a fenced-in backyard where he can explore, play, and soak up the sunshine. He loves being outdoors and enjoys zooming around and sniffing everything. He's happy to accompany you on walks, sit on the porch, go on adventures, or even join you for a camping trip. He would also make a wonderful work-from-home companion. He has been gentle with children aged 5-8 and would be happiest in a home with children 8 years old and older.

Jesse Bear is a rescue dog, and while we can't guarantee breed or age, he has been vetted and is up-to-date on all necessary medical care.
Training & Support
Jesse Bear is dog-friendly and has shown to be respectful of other dogs, matching their energy levels for play. He also met the resident cat, Biggie, appropriately and was very respectful. We can arrange a sleepover with a cat if you have one in your home. Jesse Bear has received behavioral assessments and training from on-staff trainers to help prepare him for his future family.

Transportation
Jesse Bear is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide through our USDA certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for all pets. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A surcharge of $87 applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
