Mei is the kind of dog who bounces into your day with pure joy and a big smile that makes everything feel lighter. She is a happy-go-lucky sweetheart with a playful spark, the perfect mix of medium-high energy when the toys come out and soft cuddles when she’s ready to settle in. She is a natural comedian. Mei gives full body hugs, showers you with kisses and chases her toys with so much enthusiasm that she sometimes tosses them for herself. At about 2 years old and 45 pounds, she is a charming mystery mix with perky ears, a chocolate and tan coat and a stocky little frame that only adds to her character. She might have a hint of Doberman, maybe some Australian Kelpie and some Pit Bull Terrier. Mei already knows how to sit for a treat and she learns quickly. She is doing well with housetraining when kept on a routine and she trots happily into her crate for a treat, settling after a little whine. She loves to zoom around the yard and will play fetch for as long as you want. If you love watching a dog light up with pure joy, she is your girl. After a tough start in life, Mei is more than ready for the fairy tale ending she deserves.
Ideal Home
Mei would benefit from a fenced yard where she can safely enjoy her zoomies. She gets along well with friendly, submissive dogs and seems neutral with cats. She enjoys every person she meets.
Ongoing Health
Mei has food allergies and needs to stay on a hydrolyzed protein prescription diet to keep feeling her best. She arrived with no fur and was miserable, but with proper care, she has blossomed into a shiny, happy pup. All of our animals are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, de-wormed, and treated for flea and tick prevention. Canines over 6 months are tested for heartworm and puppies are put on prevention immediately. Felines are tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. All animals receive a health check by a veterinarian prior to adoption, and any issues found will be treated before adoption.
Training & Support
Mei knows how to sit for a treat and is a quick learner. She is doing well with housetraining when kept on a routine and happily crates for short periods.
