Fiesta

Fiesta is a sweet, gentle, and calm 13-year-old lady looking for a quiet retirement home. She was surrendered when her owner became homeless, and despite the stressful transition, Fiesta remains a loving companion. Her former owner described her as "very loving and always is there when you're going through a lot or sad." Fiesta has a low energy level, making her the perfect snuggle buddy for a homebody. She enjoys meeting other dogs and is described as "friendly" towards them.

Ideal Home

Fiesta would thrive in a laid-back home where she can relax. She prefers quiet company and couch snuggles over long walks.

Ongoing Health

Fiesta is currently dealing with several health issues that require attention, including severe periodontal disease, osteoarthritis in multiple joints, and she is overweight. She also has a mild ALT elevation. She is currently on Gabapentin for pain management. Further medical workup and discussion with a veterinarian will be necessary to determine the best course of treatment for her.

Training & Support

Fiesta is housebroken and crate-trained. She knows "Sit," "Lay Down," and "Stop." She walks well on a leash and responds best to a gentle, loving approach. She does not like aggressiveness. While she can be a bit shy and has had some mild issues re-entering her kennel, she has no handling issues and enjoys treats, especially pepperoni.
