Teddy

Teddy is a roughly 1.5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix who had a challenging start in life. He can be a bit shy and nervous when you first meet him, but give him a few minutes, and he blossoms into a happy, friendly boy! He's a quick learner, already mastering "sit" for his food and treats, and he loves a good belly rub, often rolling over for them. He also enjoys snuggling up on your lap and knows his name! We're making great progress with his leash training, and he's doing wonderfully with potty training. Teddy is incredibly snuggly with his favorite people, but it's important to remember that he can bite if he feels scared.

Ideal Home

A home where he can continue to build his confidence is ideal. Because he can bite when scared, he would do best in a home without very young children.

Ongoing Health

Teddy was neutered on July 3rd and is healing well.

Training & Support

Teddy is learning leash walking and is doing great with potty training. He can bite when scared, so consistent positive reinforcement and understanding his cues will be key to his continued success. He is very eager to please and seems easy to teach.
