Mae

Mae is a 3-year-old Husky/Heeler mix who weighs 45 lbs. She is an incredibly affectionate, people-oriented dog who loves being as close to her humans as possible. She thrives on connection and being included in daily life, but is also able to settle and relax when it’s time to wind down. She is energetic, playful, and curious, with a strong love for toys, walks, and outdoor adventures. Mae walks very well on leash and would do great with an active family who enjoys getting out and about. Mae is loving, cuddly, loyal, and fun, and will thrive with a patient, active home that can give her structure and plenty of companionship.

Ideal Home

Mae would do best in an active home that enjoys getting out and about. She needs a home where she can be included in daily life and receive plenty of companionship. Mae is very friendly with people, including children, and does well with male dogs. However, she can resource guard food and is selective with other female dogs, so she would do best as the only female dog in the home or in a male-dog household.

Ongoing Health

Mae is fully vetted and is up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is currently undergoing heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Mae is potty trained with routine and kennel trained, though she does have some crate anxiety.
