Meet Ivy!
Ivy is a gentle, incredibly sweet girl who has blossomed in foster care. While she's still a sensitive soul, her confidence continues to grow, and it's been a joy to watch her personality shine. She is very affectionate and loves head and back scratches. Ivy is much more confident around the house and enjoys spending time outside in the yard. She's adorably awkward when she plays with the other pets and loves the resident small black cat. She has a special bond with her foster brother, Walter. Ivy walks fairly well on a leash and has good potty manners in her foster home; routine is key. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, which remains her safe space. Ivy has found her voice and will give an adorable "woo woo" bark when appropriate. She is still startled by loud noises and sudden movements.
Ideal Home
Ivy will thrive with a patient family who allows her to continue building confidence at her own pace. Another confident, friendly dog would be a wonderful companion for her. She will need to be leashed 100% of the time for several weeks, until she really settles into her new home and routine. This includes in a fenced-in yard and in your home.
