About Arby

Meet Arby!

Affectionately known as "Arby-Rhubarby," this lovable pup was rescued from the county shelter after spending two long months of his puppyhood waiting for someone to notice him. Thankfully, a group of dedicated volunteers created a special video that caught our attention and changed his life forever. Now 6 months old and about 40 pounds, Arby is a brindle bundle of happiness. We know he has some Heeler and Bully breed traits, and based on his friendly, easygoing personality, we suspect there's some Lab in the mix too. Whatever his breed makeup, one thing is certain: Arby loves everyone he meets.

Humans, dogs, new friends- Arby has never met a stranger. On the day he was rescued, he quickly bonded with a small female dog who was also saved, and he seamlessly joined his foster family of rescued canine siblings. It didn't take long to realize that Arby wasn't just a good dog, he's an exceptional one. This happy boy loves toys, splashing in the doggie pool, and making the most of every day. He'll bark at the farm cats but doesn't seem to have any real intentions behind it, however, we're recommending a cat-free home. He's a slow grower and is unlikely to exceed 50 pounds when fully grown.

Arby is wonderfully submissive with both people and other dogs. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Like many Heelers, he enjoys herding his canine friends and may occasionally nip at their heels during play. He responds well to corrections from other dogs and is eager to learn appropriate boundaries. He's crate trained, house trained, fully vetted, and ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a loving family of his own. Arby is simply grateful to be free, safe and loved and he celebrates every day with a wagging tail and a smile. Could you be the family he's been waiting for?
