Addie is a 4.5-year-old, spayed female Pitbull Terrier mix, weighing around 45 pounds. She's a resilient survivor who was rescued from a difficult situation and is now blossoming into a loving companion. Addie is a willing and promising pupil, eager to learn what it means to be a cherished house dog. She's already mastered crate training and sleeps soundly in her kennel, and has even been trusted to roam freely without issue, though she's still perfecting her house manners and may have occasional accidents as she settles into her new home.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard for her to roam and run in. She'd love a male dog sibling to cuddle with, as she seems to prefer male dog friends of similar or larger size. She also enjoys the "Soft Life Era" and would appreciate plenty of couches to lounge on. While she's generally gentle and may do well with younger children, she might prefer older, calmer pre-teens and teenagers. Homes with children who are old enough to understand and respect animal behavior cues are recommended, with supervised interactions until everyone is accustomed to each other.
Ongoing Health
Addie was rescued with mange and was underweight, but has since recovered and is now healthy. She is a "hungry, hungry hippo" and will try to eat other pets' food, so she needs to be fed separately.
Training & Support
Addie is crate trained and sleeps well in her kennel. She is still learning house manners and may have occasional accidents. She is not super playful with other dogs but is curious about females. She's learning to be patient during meal times. Addie needs gentle guidance and reassurance to build trust, but once she trusts you, she is overflowing with love.
