Meet Baxter! This sweet, gentle, and incredibly affectionate 7-year-old, 90-pound love bug spent his entire life in a home until he had to be surrendered due to his owner’s relocation. Baxter is a calm and relaxed car rider who lives for pets, cuddles, and being close to his people. He enjoys playing ball and going on walks, and while he may pull a bit, it's manageable. Baxter has impeccable manners; he is fully potty trained, has excellent house manners, and doesn’t jump. He’s great with people of all ages, including children, and does well with calm, relaxed dogs. Baxter previously lived with cats and could potentially coexist with them again with a patient introduction. Once his walk is done, he’s the ultimate couch potato, just looking for a soft place to land where he can finally exhale. If you have room in your heart and home for a dog who has already proven he knows how to be the best companion, Baxter is ready to be yours. Baxter is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, offering you time to get to know him in your home before finalizing the adoption.

Baxter is up-to-date on his prevention medications and age-appropriate vaccines. He has been heartworm tested and dewormed.

Baxter is fully potty trained, has excellent house manners, and does not jump. He may pull a bit on walks, which is manageable.
