Kylo is a charming young boy who absolutely adores company, whether it's from people or other animals. He has a remarkable level of patience, especially with children. Kylo's only quirk is his enthusiastic greeting style with new animal friends; he loves to get up close and personal for a sniff. While he's never been the aggressor, this approach has unfortunately led to some negative encounters with dogs who weren't as welcoming. With gentle guidance from humans or other animals, Kylo quickly learns to respect personal space and would do best with smaller pets or those with a similar, friendly disposition.
Ideal Home
Kylo would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention and interaction. A fenced yard is essential, as Kylo has a tendency to wander if given the opportunity. He would do best in a home with a patient individual, couple, or family who understands his needs and can provide consistent guidance.
Ongoing Health
Kylo is currently working on his separation anxiety. He may whine when feeling isolated, especially when separated by a gate or when he notices people are leaving. He does not do well in crates, as he will cry loudly and try to escape.
Training & Support
Kylo is highly food motivated and eager to learn, making him a great candidate for training! However, he does exhibit food aggression and guarding behaviors. He will growl fiercely if approached while he has unattended human food or scraps. Redirecting him with his own special treats and teaching him "leave it" will be key to overcoming this.
