Luther, a charming 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix, is a bundle of joy and playful energy just waiting to bring smiles to your face! Weighing in at 55 pounds, this neutered male has a heart as big as his floppy ears and a personality that will keep you entertained. He's currently enjoying life in a foster home in Houston, Texas, but is eager to find his forever family and will transport to you once approved!
Ideal Home
Luther would be a wonderful addition to many homes, whether it's an apartment or a house. He thrives with regular exercise and continued guidance. A backyard would be a delightful bonus for his zoomies, but daily walks and dedicated playtime will also keep him happy and well-exercised. While he's comfortable as an only dog and seems to prefer human companionship, he's also social with other dogs and enjoys respectful play. If you don't have other dogs, we'll want to discuss your plans for his socialization.

Training & Support
This smart pup is house-trained and hasn't had any accidents since arriving in foster care. He sleeps well in his crate, settling down after a brief initial protest. While he's not quite ready for unsupervised freedom in the house yet as he's still learning what's a toy and what's not, he's generally a good boy when left alone for short periods. Luther shows no resource guarding and is comfortable eating around other dogs or when hand-fed. His leash manners are improving; while he can be a bit barky when seeing other dogs, he walks beautifully alongside a canine companion, and this can continue to be polished with training.
