Kim is a one-year-old, 32-pound male mix of Border Collie and Labrador. He's a sweet, joyful, and active pup who's always ready for an adventure! Kim is smart and would thrive with training, but he does need a little time to decompress and build trust with new people, as he can be a bit timid. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is also cat-friendly. Kim is leash-trained, crate-trained, and a good boy on car rides. He was sadly abandoned at the shelter's doorstep but is now a survivor, having fully recovered from parvo after a hospital stay.
Ideal Home
Kim would do best in an active home with families who enjoy outdoor activities and have a fenced backyard. He needs a home with people who have a real intention to rescue and understand the need for protection and education for street animals. Experience with dog behavior and training, as well as high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, are essential. Kim is not house-trained, and adopters should be aware of the adjustment period he may need in a new home.
Ongoing Health
Kim is up-to-date on his vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella) and has been dewormed. He is microchipped and tested negative for heartworm. He is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventative for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. He will come with a spay/neuter certificate, health certificate, and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Kim is not house-trained and will require patience and consistency in this area. He is very smart and will benefit from continued training to help him reach his full potential.

Transportation
Kim is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
