About Sleepy

Meet Sleepy, a 5-month-old Blue Heeler puppy weighing approximately 16 pounds! Sleepy and his family were rescued, and he's been safe and healthy ever since. He's incredibly intelligent, curious, and observant, always taking in his surroundings with thoughtful eyes. Sleepy is playful, energetic, and loves to explore, chew on toys, and play games. As a member of a working breed, he'll thrive with a family who can provide plenty of exercise and mental enrichment through training and puzzles. He gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around children, men, and women. With continued positive guidance and socialization, Sleepy has the potential to become an amazing lifelong companion.

Ideal Home

Sleepy would do best in a home with families who enjoy outdoor activities and have a fenced backyard. He needs a family with experience in dog behavior and training, who have high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies, and an open mind about the needs of rescue animals.

Ongoing Health

Sleepy has completed his spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. He also tested negative for heartworm and has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Sleepy is not yet house-trained. The rescue organization dedicates significant time and resources to the health and emotional rehabilitation of their rescued pets, and they are unable to house-train each one.
