Eliana GC

Eliana is a sweet, older lady who is looking for a loving home to spend her golden years. She's had a rough past, having been used as a breeder dog and then abandoned. Thankfully, her foster mom rescued her and gave her a second chance at life. Eliana had a large mammary tumor removed and was spayed. She's still adjusting to life outside of a cage and can sometimes revert to circling when nervous, but she's making great progress. She's a bit sensitive and startles easily, so gentle handling and a calm environment are important. Eliana is also learning to tolerate being held for longer periods. She has limited vision but navigates well using her sense of smell. She's doing well with using potty pads at night and can also be successful with a consistent potty schedule outdoors after meals.

A home that understands her past and is willing to give her time and patience to adjust. She needs a calm environment where she can continue to learn and grow.

Eliana had a mammary gland tumor removed and was spayed. She has limited vision.

Training & Support

Eliana can revert to circling when nervous. She startles easily and may "gum" people if picked up too quickly, so approaching her gently and speaking to her before picking her up is recommended. She is still learning to tolerate being held for extended periods.
