Meet Otis! This handsome, two-year-old, 50-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix is a true gem. He was returned to a shelter due to a severe skin condition, but thanks to his wonderful foster, he's now thriving with a beautiful, shiny coat! Otis is all about resilience and joy, with a sweet, goofy personality and a deep love for people. He's a gentle soul who isn't afraid to let you know if he needs more pets! Otis is a responsive boy who thrives on positive reinforcement and genuinely wants to please.
Ideal Home
Otis would thrive in a moderately active home that also enjoys cozy snuggle sessions. He would absolutely love to have a canine sibling, as he gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and enjoys playtime. Due to his size and enthusiasm, dog-savvy older children would likely be the best fit.
Ongoing Health
Otis was treated for a severe skin condition and is now fully recovered with a healthy coat. He is neutered and fully vaccinated.
Training & Support
Otis is fully housebroken and potty trained. He is also crate trained and sleeps well in his crate overnight, especially with a stuffed toy. He has shown no signs of separation anxiety, destruction, food aggression, or resource guarding. He is fed separately to ensure a calm environment. While he walks nicely on a leash, he can pull a little excitedly at the start of his walk.
