Dough is a sweet, soft, 6-year-old, 40lb dog who may be a Lab/Beagle mix. She was found in a quiet, unassuming state at animal control, but her calm demeanor and soulful eyes captured our hearts. Despite a difficult past filled with neglect, including a severe yeast infection, mammary tumors, overgrown nails, and dental issues, Dough is now on the mend and feeling much better. Her infections are clearing, her teeth are improving, and her skin is healing. Dough is an excellent companion who enjoys car rides and walks, and she's superb on a leash. She sleeps through the night and is house and crate trained. Dough enjoys the company of other dogs and can live with or without them. She does, however, seem a bit too interested in cats, so we don't recommend her for a home with felines that aren't cat-savvy. Dough's favorite activity is snuggling, and she appreciates simple comforts like soft blankets and fluffy pillows. She's also a big fan of walks where she can roll around in the grass. If you're looking for a quiet, appreciative, and excellent sidekick, Dough is your girl.
Ideal Home
Dough would thrive in a home that appreciates her calm nature and love for snuggles. She is not recommended for homes with cats due to her high prey drive.
Ongoing Health
Dough has overcome a severe yeast infection, mammary tumors, overgrown nails, and dental issues due to past neglect. She is currently recovering and her health is improving.
Training & Support
Dough is house and crate trained and sleeps through the night. She is excellent in the car and on a leash. Her main need is a loving home where she can continue to feel safe and appreciated.
