Manny is a charming one-and-a-half-year-old, 14-pound chihuahua mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He's a devoted companion who loves to be by your side, exploring his surroundings with curiosity and a keen nose for adventure. After playtime, Manny is a pro at finding the coziest spot for a nap, sometimes even dozing off while sitting up just to stay close for cuddles and belly rubs. He was previously part of a bonded pair but has blossomed with confidence and is now ready to shine as the star of his own loving home, with the company of other dogs for playtime. He also gets along wonderfully with cats! Manny is eager to find a family where he can receive all the love and attention he deserves, soaking up affection and being a constant, cherished companion.
Ideal Home
Manny thrives in a safe and loving environment where he feels secure and protected. He would do best in a home with at least one other dog to keep him engaged and active, and he also gets along well with cats. He needs a family that can provide him with plenty of playtime and attention; without it, he may resort to chewing on things he shouldn't.
Ongoing Health
Manny's adoption fee includes his first 2 DAPP vaccinations, Bordetella, deworming, flea preventative, sterilization, heartworm test, and microchip.
Training & Support
Manny is crate and house-trained, and prefers to sleep in his crate at night and when you're away. While he had some initial accidents, he has had no issues since gaining access to a doggy door and a large fenced yard. He is food-motivated with no signs of food aggression and eats his kibble enthusiastically. Manny has mastered the "sit" command and is working on "off" and "stay," though his stubborn streak can sometimes be a challenge. He does experience car sickness and should always be crated during travel.
