Kaia, a spirited 2-year-old Cattle Dog mix, is a bright and energetic girl with a huge personality. She was adopted as a puppy and is now seeking a new, loving home where she can truly thrive. Kaia has an adventurous spirit and adores being outdoors, whether she's running, playing, swimming, or exploring. She'd be happiest with an active adopter who can provide plenty of enrichment, structured play, and exciting adventures beyond just daily walks. Despite her high energy, Kaia also has a sweet and snuggly side, cherishing couch cuddles and a good belly rub.
Ideal Home
Kaia's ideal home will be with an adopter who understands active herding breeds and can offer her structure, patience, and consistent support. She needs a securely fenced yard and a commitment to helping her work through barrier-related reactivity (reactivity to gates, fences, and closed doors). She would do best as the only dog in the home, though she may be able to live with cats with proper introductions. Kaia is not suited for a busy home with children or a lot of chaos.

Kaia will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4dx tested.
Training & Support
Kaia is crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, and come. She also settles well at night and can be left alone without separation anxiety, though she may bark a little when you leave. She has a high prey drive and can pull on leash when she sees small animals. She may also counter-surf or get into the trash. Kaia can be sensitive to certain household noises and may bark, growl, or lunge at them, indicating a need for a dog-savvy adopter willing to manage her environment and work with a trainer if needed.
