Addie is a sweet 4.5-year-old, spayed female pitbull terrier mix weighing around 45 pounds. She's a resilient survivor who was rescued from a difficult life on the streets, where she battled mange and malnutrition. Despite her past hardships, Addie is a loving and promising pupil, eager to learn what it means to be a cherished house dog. She's already doing well with crate training, sleeping through the night and staying content in her crate while her foster is at work. While she's still perfecting her house manners and may have an occasional accident, she's adjusting wonderfully to her new routine.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard where she can roam and run, and would love to have a male dog sibling of similar size (40-60lbs) to cuddle with. She's currently enjoying her "Soft Life Era" and appreciates plenty of couch space. Because she hasn't had much experience with younger children or cats, any potential home with kids should have them be old enough to understand animal behavior cues, and supervised introductions are recommended.
Ongoing Health
Addie is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed. She has made a full recovery from the mange she suffered from prior to rescue.
Training & Support
Addie is crate trained and has had no issues with being left alone. While she is generally trustworthy in the house, occasional accidents may occur as she settles into her new home. She is very food motivated and tends to try and eat other pets' food, so it's recommended to feed her separately. She is learning that she will receive another meal and is improving with this. She can be timid at first but becomes overflowing with love once she trusts you.
