Raquel

Raquel is an eleven-month-old Anatolian Shepherd with a heart as big as her frame! She came to us from a difficult hoarding situation where she didn't get the early socialization she needed. While she's still a bit unsure of new things, Raquel is incredibly sweet and eager to learn and trust. She needs a little time to observe and adjust to new experiences, but she's making wonderful progress every day and is past her initial shyness. Raquel is a quick learner and, with patience and consistency, will blossom in the right home.

Ideal Home

Raquel will be a large dog, likely over 100 pounds, so a home prepared for her size is a must. A securely fenced yard is required. She's good with other dogs and cats. Due to her sensitive nature and ongoing confidence building, we recommend a home with children over 10 years old.

Ongoing Health

Raquel is a healthy girl with no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Raquel is still learning about indoor living, leash walking, and everyday household activities. She's not difficult, just inexperienced. Patience, routine, and consistency will be key to her success. A confident, friendly dog in the home would be a huge asset, providing Raquel with a role model to learn from and gain confidence.
