Brian

Brian is a handsome 4-year-old red bi Australian Shepherd who weighs around 38 pounds. He's a gentle soul who enjoys car rides and allows for handling and grooming. He seems to be wonderful with children. Brian spent much of his life outdoors in a pen with limited human interaction, and while he is submissive, he prefers to avoid direct contact. However, once comfortable, he is quite fine.

Ideal Home

Brian would thrive in a home with a secure fence and would prefer a yard with not too much undergrowth where he might feel inclined to hide.

Brian is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Leash and collar walking can be initially frightening for Brian. We're working on this, and an EZ Walk harness with the leash attached to the chest ring has been more successful. With patience and gentle encouragement, he's making progress, but it may take time for him to feel fully comfortable walking on leash. He crates well and sleeps through the night without issue. Initially, he may look for ways to go outside when left loose in the house, but we anticipate this will improve as he adjusts to indoor living and receives affection.
