Ollie is a charming 1.5-year-old, neutered male Pomeranian weighing in at 14 lbs. This sweet boy is generally friendly and loves to greet people once he feels comfortable. He enjoys being close to his person and thrives on companionship. Ollie can be a bit bossy with other dogs, so he might do well with a calm, neutral canine companion or would be perfectly content as the sole furry friend in the household.
Ideal Home
Ollie would do best in a home that can provide a calm environment, free from fast or unexpected movements, as these can startle him. Due to his past experiences with resource insecurity, he can become territorial around certain items like junk food wrappers, boxes, and stinky socks. He also gets excited and anxious around these items, so we do not recommend him for a home with children under the age of 12. An experienced owner who understands how to work with his quirks and provide gentle guidance would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Ollie is a picky eater and prefers soft or fresh food.
Training & Support
While Ollie is generally well-behaved, he may need a belly band when first introduced to a new environment to help prevent marking. He may have some resource guarding tendencies due to past experiences, especially around "goodies" he finds or treats. An experienced owner who can work with him on these behaviors is recommended. He is crate-trained and will often rest in his crate quietly.
