Meet Shorty, the king of zoomies! He's a one-year-old bully breed mix who loves to show off his energetic bursts of speed. Despite our best efforts to find his previous family, he's now looking for his forever home. Shorty is eager for a foster or adoptive home where he has the space to truly shine. He absolutely loves the treadmill at his current temporary home and is a staff favorite! Shorty was previously adopted with the understanding that he needed to be an only dog and required training for leash manners and interactions with children. Unfortunately, due to jumping on and knocking over children, which he was initially cautioned about, he has been returned to the rescue. He must be the only animal in the home. He does well in a kennel and can be placed in a room when young children are present. He is also house-trained and knows how to use a dog door. Shorty appears to have some dachshund or basset hound in his mix. This awesome pup gets along great with older kids and people, but would do best as an only pet with no cats. Shorty has a soft spot for men but is affectionate with everyone. He is non-destructive when left alone and can't get enough attention. Could Shorty be your new best friend?
