Hi, I'm Leia

I am an estimated 6-8 year old large mixed breed in search of my final destination. My foster family DNA tested me and I am 50% Great Pyrenees, 20.1% Cane Corso, 19.6% American Pit Bull Terrier, and 10.3% American Bulldog. More importantly, I am 100% the best girl!

My early days started with being kept crated 24/7, used for breeding and hardly cared for. Finally, my "family" abandoned me, which may have been the best gift possible. I was found as a stray and taken in as an emergency due to my condition. Between the help of many rescuers, I made my way to COPAW and have transformed into my absolute best self. From skin & bones to healthy & playful!

I love sleeping on the couch, sometimes trying to scooch my way onto a lap if I'm allowed. I just learned how to play with my foster brothers and I love running in the yard with them, too. I love my food and treats! I am working on basic commands and definitely food motivated.

I prefer to be fed away from other pets. After having been starved, I can get a wee bit protective of my foods.

I REQUIRE... A fenced in yard or lots of walkies! If you have a flimsy fence, that might not work for me. If I see a deer or a rabbit, I want to try to get it. My foster mom had a weak spot in her fence, and I went on a bit of a walk about. Once that was fixed, I have been fine!
