Layla is a sweet 7-month-old female pup who arrived at her foster home in a state of fear. She was initially timid and wary of people, but with consistent patience and kindness from her foster family, she's made incredible progress. While she still has a journey ahead, her foster family is committed to helping her feel secure and confident. She loves attending doggy daycare, where her true personality begins to shine. Layla is a testament to the power of rescue and the resilience of animals who are given a chance to trust again.
Ideal Home
Layla would thrive in a home with at least one confident, resident dog who can help show her the world is a safe place. She needs a patient family willing to go at her pace in a quiet and peaceful environment, as she prefers a lower-traffic home with fewer visitors. A securely fenced yard is a must for Layla.
Ongoing Health
Layla has been started on behavioral medication to help her feel more secure and exhale. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed, and on flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
Training & Support
Layla is house-trained and crate-trained. She will need an adoptive family committed to continuing her training and building trust. Nerdy K9 and trainer Missy John are providing ongoing support to Layla's future family to ensure her continued success.
