Meet Mila! Mila is a 3-year-old, 40lb Pitbull/Staffie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit ready for adventure. She's a smart, curious girl who thrives on human connection and is eager to please her people. Mila is incredibly affectionate, always ready with a cuddle or a kiss for her favorite humans. She enjoys exploring and learns new things quickly. Mila is a people-oriented pup who will happily follow you around, making her a wonderful companion.
Ideal Home
Mila would be happiest in a home with a moderately to very active family who enjoys spending time outdoors. She's looking for a running partner or an enthusiastic hiking buddy! She would do well in a home with no or older children (10+ years or those who are dog savvy), and she absolutely needs at least one other dog to play with. Mila's ideal home also has someone who is home more often than not, as she thrives on company.
Ongoing Health
Mila is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She has no known health conditions.
Training & Support
Mila is a smart and teachable dog who picks up on new lessons quickly. She hasn't been crate trained as she has free roam of the house and access to a doggy door. She is trustworthy when left alone as long as food is put away and trash cans are secured. Mila does tend to jump on other dogs when playing, so continued positive reinforcement and socialization will be beneficial. Due to her love of food, it's recommended to feed her separately from other pets to ensure harmony. Mila is still young and will benefit from ongoing training and patience as she adjusts to her new home.

- Completing an initial screen will connect you with a placement for a video chat.
- Transports run every few weeks and approved dogs will be on the next available transport. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
- Our rescue is volunteer-run, and we dedicate our time to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply.
- If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please ensure you have spoken with them and they are on board.
Transporation
Mila is located in San Antonio, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found.
