Solstice

Solstice is a sweet young dog who has had a rough start in life. She arrived in our program with eight puppies, one of whom had significant medical needs. Solstice herself was heartworm positive and is now on the road to recovery. Her puppies have all found their forever homes, and now it's Solstice's turn! She is quiet but full of love, and while she is shy with new people, she shows a strong eagerness to be friends with every human she meets, and most dogs too! Cats make her terribly nervous, so we would prefer a home for her without feline companionship. A gentle hand and some solid patience will allow Solstice to bloom into the amazing dog she truly is. A quieter home with a steady schedule would be best for her, but she's not above a bit of boisterous play once she is comfortable, and loves car rides (albeit nervously)! While we know shy dogs aren't for everyone, we are confident the perfect family for this sweet young lady is out there.
