Stella

Attention, Earthlings: A new star has been discovered, and she has four paws, floppy ears, and an uncanny ability to brighten everything around her. Meet Stella! She's approximately 98% adorable, 2% mystery, and steadily increasing in confidence. Stella started off as a quiet observer, but she's revealing her playful side and becoming more confident every day. We expect her to become the brightest star in someone's home. Stella is an 8-week-old female Great Pyrenees mix who found herself needing a safe place to land. She's the astronomical equivalent of a shooting star—small, adorable, impossible not to smile at, and guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.

Stella prefers quality over speed when making friends. She's not one to rush in, but rather observes and gathers data before deciding if the vibe is right. She loves playing with her 85-pound foster sister and a four-month-old puppy, proving she's happy to recruit playmates of all shapes and sizes. Stella is surprisingly good at reading social cues, knowing when to wrestle, when to back off, and when a toy belongs to someone else. She has met children and has been her sweet, gentle self, likely needing a little time to warm up. Stella is a fan of humans and happily accepts attention, but she's not overly pushy, preferring a calm approach.

Stella's energy level is about a 6 out of 10. She has puppy moments of zooming and wrestling but is equally happy to relax near her humans. She enjoys car rides and is polite in the passenger seat. Leashes are still a work in progress, as she sees them as an interactive chew toy. Stella is wonderfully adaptable, enjoying stroller rides to take in the sights or contentedly hanging out at home with her favorite humans. She's a chill pup whose personality shines brighter every day, becoming more playful, confident, and opinionated. She enjoys creating her own water park in outdoor bowls and sees showers as a group activity. Stella entertains herself with her toy collection and generally stays out of mischief when supplied with fluffy objects. Fetch has not made it onto her list of favorite Earth activities.

Ideal Home

Stella would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs and patrol. Apartments may not be ideal due to her effective communication system when she wants something. Potty training is coming along, but she'll need a family willing to keep up with frequent potty breaks and pay attention to her signals.
