Mochi is a sweet, 4-year-old spayed female pittie who will celebrate her birthday in May. She's a survivor, having been part of a litter abandoned at city hall in northeast Texas in June 2022. Fortunately, she and her brother found their way into a loving home, where they learned commands and were showered with attention. Sadly, their adoptive parents went through a difficult divorce, and Mochi, along with her brother, eventually returned to foster care. She was named Mochi after a sweet treat her adoptive parents shared on their first date. When she first came into foster care, she was quite fragile and needed to be bottle-fed for about four weeks to build up her strength. But Mochi is a resilient girl who blossomed into a strong, athletic young lady. She's intelligent, responsive to commands, and seems to genuinely want to please her people, sometimes even appearing remorseful. Mochi absolutely adores car rides, walks with her harness, and has a blast chasing birds.
Ideal Home
Mochi would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, providing her with a safe space to enjoy her love for chasing birds. Due to her animal reactivity, she needs to be the only dog in the household and would do best without small children.
Ongoing Health
Mochi is a healthy young lady with no specific ongoing health concerns mentioned.
Training & Support
Mochi is smart and responds well to commands. While she has never shown aggression towards humans, she can be protective of her foster mom. It's important to understand her animal reactivity, as she does not play well with other animals. She does not need to share a dog park with any other pup.
