Annika

Annika is a sweet 4-year-old, 17 lb girl who came to us from Yuma. She was very shy upon arrival, but with the patience and love of her foster mom and trainer, she's made wonderful progress! Annika has learned the joys of indoor living and is mostly house-trained. She also does well in her crate and is generally not destructive. She's devoted to her people but is still unsure about the leash and can be anxious in new situations, so she'll need a patient and understanding home to continue building her confidence. Annika gets along well with dogs of all sizes and ages, and also has no issues with cats. She seems to thrive on routine and hasn't shown much interest in toys yet, but who knows what the future holds!

Ideal Home

Annika would likely do best in a home with other animals, as she enjoys the company of dogs and cats. A patient and loving family who can help her continue to blossom and gain confidence in new situations will be key to her happiness.

Ongoing Health

Annika has an issue with one of her front legs, possibly due to past malnutrition. However, this does not cause her any pain and does not slow her down. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Annika is still learning to be comfortable on leash and can be anxious about new experiences. Continued positive reinforcement and a consistent routine will help her feel more secure.
