BAXTER (Gorgeous Low Shedding Boy, Loving, Sweet, Good with Kids & Dogs)

Baxter is a handsome, scruffy Irish Wolfhound/Giant Schnauzer mix with a loving, sweet personality. This big boy enjoys companionship, outdoor adventures, cuddling, squeaky toys, and playing fetch. He is happy to relax with his humans after exploring and would make a wonderful adventure partner and evening movie companion.

Ideal Home

Baxter gets along well with other dogs, especially female dogs, and shows no signs of aggression. He is curious about cats and chickens, so a home without those animals would be best. He currently lives with children ages 3 and 5, but because he does not realize his size, older children may be a better fit.

Baxter loves to sniff, run, explore, and investigate. He enjoys baths and drinking from a garden hose, so he may enjoy water activities. His wiry coat is very low-shedding and suited to cooler weather.

Ongoing Health

Baxter is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. He receives Credelio for flea and tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heartworm prevention. He will receive a veterinary checkup and health certificate before traveling.

Training & Support

Baxter is crate trained and house trained, and he is learning leash skills. He is not destructive and has not been a chewer, though he once showed interest in a foster's shoe. He loves people, cuddling, play, and retrieving a toy.
