Lily

Meet Lily! This 5-year-old, 65-pound shepherd mix is a gentle soul rescued from Mexico as a puppy. Lily is timid at first but warms up quickly to those who show her affection. Her favorite pastime is gazing into your eyes while you gently stroke her face. She also has a goofy, wiggly side that comes out when she's excited, especially for food or attention! Lily enjoys basking in the sun or lounging near an open door to catch a breeze and listen to the sounds of nature. She loves walks but is more of a homebody and can get tired on long hikes. Loud noises like fireworks can startle her, and she'll seek refuge in a closet or pantry.

Ideal Home

Lily would love a home where she can relax and enjoy the simple things. While she gets along well with other dogs and should do fine with older children, her home should be a safe space, especially during loud events like fireworks.

Ongoing Health

Lily is spayed, healthy, and up to date on her vaccinations. She had successful knee surgery for a torn ACL a couple of years ago. Joint pain she experienced previously resolved after she reached a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Lily is house-trained and knows basic commands. She is highly food-motivated, which can be a great asset in continued training.
