Rowan is estimated to be about 1 1/2 years old, making him the perfect companion – past the rambunctious puppy stage but still full of playful spirit. He's a gentle, quiet, and sensitive soul who prefers to approach new situations and people with a bit of caution. Rowan isn't one to demand attention; instead, he'll quietly observe and slowly warm up, making every moment of his trust feel incredibly rewarding. Once comfortable, he's a peaceful presence, content to simply exist by your side. He's been wonderfully respectful and easygoing with other dogs, showing a calm demeanor and a preference for observing rather than engaging in boisterous play.
Ideal Home
Rowan would thrive in a calm environment with patient individuals who understand the needs of shy dogs. A home with a yard and a quieter setting would help him feel most comfortable. While he hasn't been officially tested with children, older, calm kids would likely be the best fit. We can arrange a kid-test for interested adopters.
Ongoing Health
Rowan is a healthy young dog. His adoption fee includes all necessary vetting, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection.
Training & Support
Rowan is a sensitive boy who needs time to decompress and build trust in new environments. Patience and understanding are key to helping him feel safe. We provide extensive behavioral testing and information from our on-staff trainers to ensure a great match.

Rowan is currently located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for all pets. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can arrange pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real-time with photo updates and connect with fellow adopters through our private Facebook event page.
