This sweet, four-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever/American Pitbull Terrier mix is a real gem! Norman, weighing in at 73 pounds, has a heart as big as his frame and adorable tortilla chip-shaped ears that just add to his charm. He's lovingly nicknamed the "velvet hippo" because he's a gentle and goofy soul who adores cuddles, a comfy dog bed, and spending quality time with his favorite people. Norman is a classic couch potato with a playful side, often flopping onto his back for a good belly rub and to show off his winning grin. He enjoys walks, training games, and showering his humans with affection. He truly thrives with love and structure, and while his routine can be flexible, he's happiest when he has someone to nap near and a bit of mental stimulation each day. Norman has had a bite incident involving a neighbor, but those familiar with him describe it as an accident in a specific circumstance, not a reflection of his true nature. With a caring, experienced guardian who understands his needs, Norman can thrive.

Ideal Home

Norman needs a calm, structured environment with a secure, fenced yard. He does best with no small children. He is compatible with older, respectful kids and some dogs, provided slow introductions are made.

Training & Support

Norman is crate-trained, house-trained, and knows commands like "sit," "stay," "down," and "place," and is working on "leave it." He responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement and consistency. His adoption includes four professional training sessions and a full month of behavioral guidance from a consultant to ensure a smooth transition and continued success.
