Parker

Parker has waited long enough. Every time we visit Parker, we leave asking ourselves the same question: "How is he still here?" Because the dog we see today is completely different from the dog who first arrived. When Parker came into care, he was shut down. Terrified. Heartbroken. He had been abandoned and it showed. He would make himself small, avoid attention, and seemed unsure if he could trust anyone ever again. But over the last several weeks, something incredible has happened. Parker started healing. Not just physically. Emotionally. His confidence has grown. His personality has emerged. And that famous pittie smile has started making regular appearances. Now when we spend time with Parker, we see a dog who is ready. Ready for a home. Ready for a family. Ready to leave kennel life behind forever. One of our favorite things about Parker is how much he enjoys other dogs. Having canine friends helps him feel comfortable and confident, and watching him play and interact with them is enough to melt anyone's heart.
