Pika is a handsome boy ready to light up your life with his charming personality! This approximately large-sized dog is around 61-100 lbs and comes to us as an owner surrender due to a divorce. Pika has a wonderful "go with the flow" personality. If you're ready for a walk, he's happy to join you, but if it's a lounge-around-the-house kind of day, he's perfectly content to relax by your side. He loves his toys and will toss them in the air and shake them around while he plays – it's adorable! Pika is a great walker, and one of the best parts of being out on a walk with him is watching his ears bounce with every step. He's also a very human-friendly companion, not high energy, and very well-behaved. Pika has impeccable house manners and is 100% house-trained and quiet. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
Ideal Home
Pika would do best as the only pet in the home and would prefer a home without children. A securely fenced-in yard is required for him to safely explore and play.
Ongoing Health
Pika had a vet visit where he was a cooperative patient during a blood draw and a deep swab, as well as cleaning and treatment of a sore ear.
Training & Support
Pika knows how to "heel" and walk on a "loose leash." He has shown no interest in other dogs or squirrels during walks. He was also perfect in a reactive dog obedience class, walking and relaxing close to other dogs. Pika has impeccable house manners and is not pushy for attention. He slept quietly in his kennel, does not beg for food, counter surf, or get into things when left alone. He was also an angel during his bath. He may not need to be kenneled when adopted. Pika takes treats very gently and we have not heard him bark.
